Why this coffee?

This coffee has been sourced and roasted for fuss free extraction in any manual or fully automatic espresso machine.

For those of us that enjoy a sweet and balanced taste in our cup. Full of fruity aromas with a delicate sweet finish.

Whole fruit dried Ethiopian coffee is pure magic and we are happy to have one back for Mr. Pink

This version of Mr. Pink comes from Habtamu Fikadu Aga, a coffee producer and exporter based in the Guji region, in Uraga and its surroundings.

This lot has the fruity depth, floral delicacy, and clear yet gentle acidity that make coffees dried from whole fruits in Ethiopia's Guji region so special.

Producer story

This coffee, with its typical Yirgacheffe profile, is grown at an altitude of over 2,000 meters in the Gedeo district. It is processed at the station in the village of Garse by DWD, a family-owned business founded over 30 years ago.

This whole-fruit-dried coffee is the result of the work of 110 farmers, whom DWD helps improve the quality of their coffee year after year.

After harvest, the cherries are dried in the shade for 3 weeks and are regularly turned to ensure uniform drying on raised beds.

The Garse station is located at an altitude of 2,060 meters. It was built in 2011 by DWD to process high-quality coffee.

The cherries are brought to the Garse station by farmers living in the surrounding villages of Garse, Dobe Toga, and Wachile. DWD currently works with 110 smallholder farmers. These farmers are highly skilled in coffee cultivation; these agricultural practices have been passed down from generation to generation for many years in this region.
